Mr. Saxophone's New CD "Songs from the Treehouse" Offers Fun For The Whole Family!

For the better part of 2007, Mr. Saxophone was writing and recording a new album for kids. He worked very hard to make music that the whole family could enjoy, even the parents!
The songs on his newest album “Songs from the Treehouse” represent a wide variety of styles, including some hilarious parodies (Welcome to the Jungle Gym, The Fizz is Gone), some classic remakes (Daydream, I Can Help), as well as some upbeat original songs. You can learn how to make French Toast, hang around the house in your Sockfeet, or dance with your Great Big Grandma! The songs range from rock and roll, country, blues, swing, even a little beat poetry.
“I wanted to record an album that the kids would love of course, but also one the parents wouldn’t want to throw out the window after 2 or 3 listenings. There are a few jokes and references thrown in the mix just for the parents,” explains Dave Farver, aka Mr. Saxophone. “I wrote these songs thinking about my own childhood memories, and the things I used to enjoy doing when I was a kid.”
Recorded with a live studio band of seasoned professionals, the songs have a polished quality that will please the most jaded audiophile, as well as people who “just like good music”. Sample a few, we’re sure you’ll find something you like! It might even take you back to your own childhood!
